These days with all the social media platforms, people connect to each other online very easily and one way to know that the connection is over is to block each other on social media. Instagram is very on trend, everyone uses Instagram and it doesn't send you a notification when someone blocks you, in fact most of the social media apps don't send a notification like that. So how to know if someone has blocked you?
1. Search for their profile on your Instagram App.
You can search their profile. If their profile is public and you're able to see their pictures, you've not been blocked. They might have just unfollowed you which you can also check by searching your name in their following list. But if you see their photos, they have not blocked you. If the profile is private and you can see the number of followers, post with a message "This account is Private", you have not been blocked.
If you can't see their profile, it's not sure that they've blocked you, they might have just deactivated their account.
In that case you can follow the next point.
2. Search their profile in a browser
If you know the username of the person you are searching for, you can search their profile on your browser by typing "Instagram.com/username", you just have to replace "username" with their actual username.
After logging in your Instagram from your browser, and searching the link to your profile, if you see a message saying "Sorry, this page isn't available", that means you have been blocked.
3. Check your DMs
You will not be able to see their chat in your DMs if you've been blocked.
To see if the person has just deactivated the account, you can check any groups in common and if you still have them as a participant but nowhere else, then you have been blocked.
4. Follow Again
If you're still able to see their profile, tap on the follow button. You will not be able to follow them if they've blocked you.
5. Use another Instagram account
This is the easiest way to check if someone has blocked you. Use any other account if you have or take some help from a close friend.
If you can see their profile from the other account and not yours, that means you have been blocked.
