Wondering how your friends send those cool Instagram DMs with special effects?
Last month Facebook merged Messenger with Instagram and since then Instagram has received an upgrade which offers many new cool features like special DM effects, chat colour options, vanish mode, custom emoji chat reactions etc.
How to Add Special effects to messages?
1. Make sure you have the upgraded version of Instagram
2. Open a chat and type a message
3. Tap on the search button on the left of your text entry bar.
4. You will see 4 options on top.
5. Click on your favourite effect and send.
6. You will see a special effect on your normal text now.
Instagram currently have only 4 special effects. One important thing to note is that you have to add the animated effect before sending the message and after typing the whole message.
The receiver should also have the upgraded version of Instagram to be able to see the special effects.
